A word about this company
The Moscow State Opera and Ballet Theatre for Young Audience named after Natalia Sats is the world's first, and so far the only, professional state music theatre that fulfils two noble missions simultaneously. It is a full-scale Opera and Ballet theatre, but it also has a vast programme geared to suit children, young adults and a family audience that ranges from classical and contemporary to opera and ballet, symphony concerts, and educational and social programmes.
Today the theatre has a unique repertoire based on the works of the greatest composers of all time - from Cavaglieri and Mozart to Stravinsky and Prokofiev - and includes more than 20 operas, 9 ballets, a few musicals for children and family audiences, as well as symphony concerts and special programmes. A number of titles have been commissioned and created by the best contemporary Russian composers especially for the theatre.
