Did you know that 292 participants from 46 countries have taken part in ten editions of our Opera Management Course since its inception in 2013? In spring 2025, we’re back with the eleventh edition, plus an exciting new development for Opera Management Course alumni with Opera Management Step Up.
The applications we received for the eleventh edition of the Opera Management Course broke all records, for sheer numbers and geographic reach: 51 applications from opera and ballet professionals in 21 countries across 4 continents! After the very tough job of shortlisting, we are thrilled to announce this year’s cohort below. The group will spend 5 days in Sabadell under the guidance of expert guest tutors in a wide range of specialisms, plus ongoing mentorship from industry legends Alexandra Stampler-Brown (Düsseldorf), Renata Borowska-Juszczyńska (Poznań) and Cormac Simms (RBO London).

Brand new for 2025 is Opera Management Step Up, an intensive burst of professional development for a small group of Opera Management Course alumni. We received 21 applications from professionals in 12 countries. After another tough shortlisting process, we are delighted to welcome the first ever Step Up cohort of 12 participants from 3 continents. Meet them below!
This short course focuses on the all-important topics of leadership, public speaking and presentation skills. Participants will also have the opportunity to meet alumni from other editions of the Course, growing their professional networks. The training is overseen by renowned leader Marc Scorca (Opera America).
