The Estonian National Opera season starts in August and runs until mid-June. The theatre's repertoire includes nearly 30 productions of various genres. The repertoire includes the best of opera, ballet, operetta and musicals from Verdi to Wagner, Tchaikovsky to Prokofiev and Strauss to Kálmán, as well as a number of contemporary stage productions and works by the world's top choreographers. Original Estonian works and children's productions play an important role in the repertoire. In addition to regular performances, concerts and celebrations of the anniversary of the Republic of Estonia and the New Year are a natural part of the theatre's season.
