Audio-visual and Digital Media Forum meeting

Cost-effective performance capture and streaming
Tuesday 5 April 2016, 9.30 - 17.00
National Theatre, South Bank, London
The meeting will consider how to meet the challenge of capturing and streaming your opera productions on a tight budget.  Industry experts will offer technical, financial and artistic insights into producing opera in digital form.
We are grateful to the National Theatre (NT) for hosting this event.  National Theatre Live, which streams British theatre productions across the world, is a pioneering initiative in our field.

Amsterdam: Theatre of the World

It is fifty years since Netherlands Opera was inaugurated on Christmas Eve 1964 with Der Rosenkavalier

and almost thirty years since it moved into its purpose-built Muziektheater on Waterlooplein in 1986.
The spacious theatre is shared with Dutch National Ballet, and the combined organisation was rebranded
as De Nationale Opera & Ballet ahead of its jubilee season 2015/16.

Opera Management Course

Recommend your promising young professionals for Opera Europa’s fourth Opera Management Course in Bregenz!

This summer, from 21 to 26 August, Bregenzer Festspiele, on the banks of Lake Constance, will welcome Opera Europa’s fourth Opera Management Course.

Launch of an Education forum

Each opera house has a mission and a vision, and it is a great satisfaction to see that, over the past two decades, education has been integrated into the core business of running an opera house, alongside artistic administration, technical and production, human resources management and so many other aspects. It is therefore only logical for Opera Europa to respond positively to its members’ request to service an Education forum.
