After a successful first edition of the World Opera Forum at Teatro Real Madrid in 2018, the gathering of Opera Professionals from all around the world will see its second edition at Los Angeles Opera this June.
We extend a cordial invitation to delegates and members from the global opera community to delve into crucial themes over three days. The discourse encompasses an introductory exploration of Making a Case for Opera in the 21st Century, followed by insightful examinations into What We Produce, How We Produce It, and For Whom, Elevating Human Values, and Becoming Engaged Cultural Citizens. The forum aims to culminate in a conclusion reaffirming the importance of Making a Case for Opera.
The sessions will be shaped by sixty delegates, comprising artists, administrators, trustees, and advocates hailing from six continents, leading discussions, a moderated fishbowl debate, and break-out groups. You can view a list of speakers here
