Opera Europa’s OperaVision project is supported by the European Union’s Creative Europe programme.
OPERA America, founded in 1970 and based in the National Opera Center in New York City, leads and serves the entire opera community in the US, supporting the creation, presentation, and enjoyment of opera. Their membership includes over 500 opera companies, educational institutions, affiliated businesses, and other entities.
Opera Europa has tight relationships with its sister organisation and a mutual benefits agreement.
Ópera Latinoamérica (OLA) is a non-profit organisation that groups Latin American opera houses whose mission is to promote lyrical art in South America. Created in 2007 in Chile, it counts over 30 members from 11 countries, including institutions from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Guatemala, Mexico, Peru, Spain, the United States and Uruguay, which meet every year to establish new emphases and objectives. Ópera Latinoamérica has its headquarters in Santiago de Chile.

Pearle * - Live Performance Europe is the leading organisation on EU and international regulatory affairs issues affecting daily operations or live performance organizations. Created in 1991, Pearle * is the 'Performing Arts Employers Association League Europe', the European Federation of Music and Live Performance Organizations. It represents through its members more than 10,000 managers or theatres, concert venues, theatre production companies, orchestras, operas, ballet and dance companies, festivals, promoters and other professional organizations in the performing arts in Europe.
As an active member of Pearle*, Opera Europa represents the interests of its members to the European institutions.
Culture Action Europe (CAE) was established in 1994 to shape and maintain continuous dialogue and knowledge exchange between the cultural sector in Europe and EU policymakers. It is the major European network of cultural networks, organisations, artists, activists, academics and policymakers. CAE is the first port of call for informed opinion and debate about arts and cultural policy in the EU. As the only intersectoral network, it brings together all practices in culture, from the performing arts to literature, the visual arts, design and cross-arts initiatives, to community centres and activist groups.
As an active member of Culture Action Europe, Opera Europa represents the interests of its members to the European institutions.
In June 2021, Opera Europa’s Advocacy coordinator Celia Grau was elected as a member of CAE’s executive board.
Opera Europa is a main expert partner of FEDORA, the European Circle of Philanthropists of Opera and Ballet, a non-profit organisation that encourages innovation and creativity in opera and ballet with Prizes for Opera, Ballet, Education and Digital Projects.
The network federates 95 opera houses, festivals, ballet companies and friends’ associations in 25 countries, as well as individual, corporate donors and foundations to create a sustainable ecosystem between the cultural and economic sector guaranteeing the future of opera and ballet. FEDORA is involved in Opera Europa’s Fundraising forum activities.
The most recent joint endeavour is the initiative for change and innovation Next Stage.
Non-profit association Camerata Nuova e.V. in Wiesbaden (Germany) created the European Opera-directing Prize (EOP) for young Opera directors in 2001. Camerata Nuova sets up an EOP every two years, in collaboration with a European opera house and Opera Europa. The EOP is currently the only big competition for opera directors in Germany.
The first prize is an honorarium for staging the selected title within a designated Opera Europa member’s season.
RESEO is a network for arts education and creative learning with a specific focus on opera, music and dance. Founded in 1996, RESEO brings together organisations and artists from Europe and beyond to promote innovation and equal access to creativity, exchange ideas, and collaborate on shared initiatives, making us a true catalyst for development in the field. RESEO also works with a range of partners to advocate for the value of opera, music and dance education.
Opera Europa and RESEO are collaborating through the activity of the Education forum on education, learning, participation and outreach topics.
The International Artist Managers' Association (IAMA) - is the only worldwide association for classical music artist managements. It is dedicated to serving all its members' needs including Affiliate and Group members and it strives to raise professional standards in the business of music.
Opera Europa has developed a partnership with IAMA and AEAA’s www.classicalmusicartists.com for the enhancement of Operabook’s representation information.
