For the second consecutive year, Opera Europa has successfully achieved the Shift Eco-certification for sustainable cultural networks!
This scheme co-created by cultural networks and by Creative Carbon Scotland and Vector 42 aims to improve, measure, monitor and evaluate efforts towards sustainability.
Opera Europa has implemented the eco-guidelines for cultural networks in its work and organisation, participated in peer audits with fellow participants and attended a combined development workshop in Brussels. Finally, Vector 42 has used the guidelines to audit each network, which assured the credibility and integrity of the certification process.
This pilot phase is and will continue to be a learning experience for Opera Europa and the other networks.
We hope that this pilot project will also encourage active climate action among the wider cultural sector and create a new alliance of like-minded networks and associations!
