Opera Europa’s renowned Opera Management Course is a unique opportunity for young professionals to delve into the essentials of opera management alongside peers from across Europe. It covers artistic vision, programming and planning, finance and budgeting, audiences, education, fundraising, marketing and communications, plus lots more. Led by professionals with significant experience in the sector, participants gain knowledge, insights, tools and a professional network to empower them in their work. The Course is open to young professionals working in any department or specialism within opera management.
We are delighted that the eleventh edition of the Opera Management Course will take place in Sabadell, in partnership with Òpera a Catalunya and the Gran Teatre del Liceu, with team leaders Renata Borowska (Poznan), Cormac Simms (London RBO) and Alexandra Stampler-Brown (Düsseldorf).
We highly encourage participants to stay for Opera Europa’s Next Generation spring conference in Barcelona from 16-18 March, with free participation, and involvement opportunities in some of the sessions.

A note on costs - we understand that the course fee, travel and (where relevant) accommodation costs in Barcelona represent a significant financial investment for companies that support a candidate on the Opera Management Course. We also know that the future of opera is in their hands. We encourage companies to invest in their young colleagues' development by covering costs wherever possible.

The participation fee is set at €1.000, including participation fee and accommodation. Travel costs are excluded.
The ideal candidate:
■ is under the age of 35
■ has a minimum of 2 years professional experience,
including 6 months in the field of opera
■ speaks fluent English
■ shows ambition for a career in opera management
To apply, candidates should send by 10 January to hannah@opera-europa.org as a single pdf document:
■ their CV
■ a 200 word personal presentation / biography
■ a cover letter stating their motivation to participate in the course
■ a recommendation letter from a (former) colleague in the field of opera
■ a portrait photo
In the cover letter, candidates should also confirm:
a. how they will cover the cost of the course (at their own expense, at their company's expense, shared between company and individual or in another way)
b. whether they intend to stay on for the conference in Barcelona from 15-18 March
