Birds are singing, bulbs are flowering, it can only mean one thing – it’s nearly time for the Opera Management Course! Following a competitive application process, we’re thrilled to introduce this year’s cohort of 24 professional from 16 countries (pictured below).
Over 5 busy days, participants gain knowledge, insights, tools and a professional network to empower them in their work, all guided by professionals with significant experience in the sector. This year’s mentors are industry legends Lilli Paasikivi (Bregenz), Henning Ruhe (Göteborg) and Cormac Simms (London, Royal Ballet & Opera).
We look forward to expert input from a range of guest speakers, including Martin Bonhard (Wien, Wiener Staatsoper), Sophie Gavriloff (Paris, Opéra national de Paris), Kasper Holten (København, Royal Danish Opera), Allaa Ridouan (Brussels, La Monnaie / De Munt), Alexandra Stampler-Brown (Düsseldorf, Deutsche Oper am Rhein).
We are very grateful to Ott Maaten and his colleagues at Estonian National Opera for hosting this year’s Opera Management Course in Tallinn. We look forward to discovering your work and your beautiful theatre first hand.
It’s an intensive programme but this year – for the first time ever – we are carving out time to experience a performance! We also look forward to Lithuanian National Opera & Ballet’s guest performance of Britten’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Stay tuned to the Opera Europa website and socials for updates from Tallinn later this month…
